Secretariat & Headquarters

The AFRIPERF Secretariat is the administrative and operational engine of the forum. It coordinates all official communications, manages forum records, supports the Executive and Technical Committees, and ensures the continuity of AFRIPERF’s work between sessions.

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission was unanimously selected as the host of the AFRIPERF Secretariat by the inaugural Executive Committee on 2 December 2025. Nigeria’s selection reflects its role as Africa’s largest crude oil producer and the driving force behind AFRIPERF’s establishment.

Maintain the official records, minutes and resolutions of all AFRIPERF sessions

Coordinate event logistics for the Annual General Meeting and other forum events

Process membership applications and maintain the membership register

Secretariat rotation

Shared across the forum

The AFRIPERF Charter provides for the Secretariat to rotate among member countries over time, ensuring that the operational burden and associated institutional benefits are shared equitably across the forum. Nominations for future host countries shall be submitted to the Executive Committee for consideration and ratification.
