A structured, searchable repository of petroleum legislation, regulatory codes, safety standards and governance frameworks from member countries — the primary tool through which AFRIPERF advances its mandate of harmonising petroleum regulation across Africa. Access is available to registered member delegates.

Fragmented regulatory frameworks across African markets have historically been identified as a key barrier to cross-border investment and sector growth. The Regulatory Database provides a common reference point that enables member regulators to identify gaps, benchmark against best practice, and work toward consistent standards that build investor confidence across the continent.

Measuring alignment across member states
The database includes a harmonisation progress tracker that maps regulatory alignment across member states against the AFRIPERF Charter’s stated objectives. This enables the Technical Committee to prioritise thematic areas for collaborative action and report progress to the Executive Committee.

The Regulatory Database is available to registered member delegates of AFRIPERF. Researchers, investors and other stakeholders may request access to specific summary data by submitting a formal request to the AFRIPERF Secretariat.
